Differentiation and Calculus
Differentiation was a new and exciting topic for me in A-level mathematics. I learned that differentiation is a way to calculate the rate of change of a function. This is useful in many situations, such as finding the speed of a moving object or the slope of a curve at a certain point. I also practiced using the power rule to differentiate different types of functions, which made it easier to solve problems step by step.
One thing I found fascinating was how differentiation helps find the maximum or minimum points on a curve. This concept is especially useful in optimization problems, like finding the highest or lowest value of something in a given situation. I am starting to appreciate how calculus connects abstract math with real-life applications.
