Functions and Graphs
In A-level mathematics, I learned about functions, which are rules that take an input and give an output. A key part of this topic is understanding how to represent functions on a graph. For example, a linear function forms a straight line, while a quadratic function creates a curve called a parabola. I practiced plotting these graphs and noticed how the shape of the graph changes based on the equation.
One of the important things I learned is the concept of “domain” and “range.” The domain is the set of all possible inputs, while the range is the set of possible outputs. This helped me understand that not every function works for every number. Learning how to read and draw graphs made me more comfortable with solving real-world problems.
